ReThink Light

Light does more than illuminate. It bends, reflects and adapts to its surroundings. Its power to change is almost unlimited. Like the light that we craft and shape, at Fraai Werk our greatest strength is our flexibility. We offer custom lights and lighting, providing holistic solutions for our customers. From single lampshades, right through to lighting plans for entire buildings and environments. Rethinking light to reach the right solution.

HOLISTIC APPROACH

A product or plan is nearly always part of a bigger picture. We start by asking questions in order to find out what the essence is of the client's needs. By doing so we get to the essence of our given task; provide a solution or a design. During this process we look at many aspects before a concept is created, the context. When a solid concept is made, the design process proceeds to a definitive design. It is only at this point that we start thinking in terms of functionalities and technical details. The context remains red thread throughout the development. Whether it is a simple and short project or a bigger challenge, there will be consistency between all individual aspects that are part of the same context. [/bs_col]

KEEPING IT CLEAN AND SIMPLE

With everything we do or make we constantly ask ourselves the question: what does it add? The answer must be in favour of the client and the end result, otherwise it can be left aside. Stripping things down to the essence is what we believe in. No frills, no fuzz. When a design is kept clean and simple, there's no chance of masking the smallest details. What remains is pure and unambiguous. There is a reason for everything that is perceived, and intentionally exists. Clean and simple applies to a product design, light plan design or any other creation we make. [/bs_col]
